This year’s webinar series started on November 5, 2025 by IEA Wind Task 51 and is scheduled for every Wednesday in November 2025 from 15.30 – 16.30 Central European Time (CET) and provide a comprehensive overview of the intersection between advances in meteorological modelling, data science, and climatic challenges in the electric power system.
The sessions progress from advances in artificial intelligence models and model validation to their direct application in power system operations and planning in a changing climate. They culminate in forward-looking discussions and building a knowledge base against the growing threat of extreme weather events, highlighting both current standardization efforts and future strategic steps.
