This working group aims to contribute to solving the third Grand Challenge “Enabling collaboration and competition between organizations”, which is related to the topic of “coopetition”. The tasks of this WG include:
Blueprint for an inclusive human-centred open innovation ecosystem
At IEA Wind Task 43, we have a vision for expanding the current WeDoWind initiative into a Blueprint for an inclusive human-centred open innovation ecosystem. We want to build up a thriving community of diverse people sharing data and knowledge and learning from each other openly. In this group, we are currently conretising the concept and applying for funding opportunities.
Building an open-source community
We are building up a community of people supporting and promoting open-source data, codes and standards. In this community, we are currently developing best practices to help organisations publish open-source data and code.
SCADA data users’ group
We are about to launch our SCADA data users’ group, which aims to share experience and develop best practices for using SCADA data more efficiently. Details about the launch webinar of this group will be published soon.

Dissemination of interim results of Data Standards Gap Analysis
Marc-Alexander Lutz presented a poster at the WindEurope 2023 Conference with the title “International Energy Agency Wind Task 43 Digitalization: Data Standards Gap Analysis”
Data Standards Gap Analysis Report
The team are compiling a report on findings and recommendations on how to make wind industry standards more FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable).
