OBJECTIVES 

The objectives include approving a task focused on enhancing communication and outreach within the IEA Wind TCP community, communicating the value and benefits of wind energy, and promoting alternative narratives that are substantiated in science. Expected results include increased awareness of wind energy’s importance, improved internal and external communication, and strengthened advocacy for continued research and development.

Outcomes include producing a proceedings report led by Task 11 including identifying near-term and longer-term needs for both the Secretariat and the IEA Wind Strategic Communications and Outreach task. In addition, a communications plan will be developed—working in concert with the Secretariat and Task 11—and securing in-kind and/or financial resources for individual work packages.
