Task 27 Technical Report
The Task 27 group attempted to address these research questions:
- What are the range of I values that a small wind turbine is likely to experience in the urban environment?
- How do the 3-D effects of turbulence impact design parameters, including the normal turbulence model and the load cases in IEC61400-2?
- How can we capture the effects of thermal instability on tools and models that typically assume thermal stability? We examine the use of Richardson number for loads cases and other standard parameters.
- How can capturing preliminary measurements and model results for vertical velocity offer guidance to future standards-making organizations?
