India joins the IEA Wind TCP

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy of India, through the National Institute of Wind Energy (NIWA) have joined the IEA Wind Technology Collaboration Program.

With more than 30 GW of wind power installed capacity, India is in the top four countries in the world and has a broad range of research activities and expertise in wind energy. By joining, India will benefit from the worldwide network of scientist, R&D program managers, public funding experts and government representatives that work together in IEA Wind TCP. India unique experience and context will enrich IEA wind TCP activities with the perspective of one of the most dynamic economies and fast growing energy demands in the world.
